I live in a hot place in the southern part of India. Sometimes during summer I get abdominal pain. It gets alright later. I have a feeling that it may be due to summer's heat. Any idea?

I have never heard of heat from the sun causing abdominal pain before. Maybe that part of it is just coincedence? Have you added anything new to your diet recently?

Now I know the sun (really hot sun) and being out there for longer periods of time makes me sick to my stomach. I think people handle the sun different. Try to stay out of the sun when it's the hottest and also drink plenty of fluids. Could be dehydration!

Are heat cramps similar to deaths in heat waves? I've heard that heat waves kill more people than other weather-related reasons.

People suffer heat-related illness when their bodies are unable to
compensate and properly cool themselves. The body normally cools itself
by sweating. But under some conditions, sweating just isn't enough. In
such cases, a person's body temperature rises rapidly. Very high body
temperatures may damage the brain or other vital organs.
