Are there other conditions that appear like appendicitis that are often mistakenly diagnosed as appendicitis?

I heard kidney diseases can mimic appendicitis because the right kidney is close enough to the appendix.

So, how do you know that it is definitely appendicitis and not another condition that appears like it?

Only a doctor tell it apart as ther is no common criteria for it and usually ultrasound examination is suggested by the doctors to double check that it is appendicitis.

Appendicitis does not cause any symptoms except for belly pain. If you have moderate belly pain that does not go away after 4 hours, call your doctor. If you have severe belly pain, call your doctor right away.
