When I was pregnant with my twins they thought I was having an appendix attack. They could only do an ultrasound however and they were wrong. It was taken out anyway just in case. Because I was having twins they were pushing one of my ovaries against the uterine wall and it was giving me pain plus I had some kind of infection going on which raised my white blood cell count.

The main symptom of appendicitis is belly pain. MAny people feel the first pain near the belly button. Then it moves to the lower right side of the belly. But the pain can be in different parts of your belly or even on your side or your back. The pain may get worse if you move, walk, or cough. You may also have a fever or feel sick to your stomach.

I had my appendix removed several years ago and the doctor had to rule out a lot of things before they determined it was appendicitis. I have had similar stomach pains before but the thing that really stood out to me about appendicitis was that it was closer to the right side and with each step I took, there was excrutiating pain. I was walking hunched over.
