Back pain in pregnancy — often experienced as dull, persistent aches in the lower back — tends to affect younger women and those who have had multiple pregnancies or weak backs before pregnancy. For most women, pain occurs in the sacroiliac joint — where the pelvis attaches to the spine. It may begin as stiffness in the morning and then progress to soreness through the day.

Oh, I had the worst back pain when I was pregnant! I was uncomfortable all the time. My poor husband used to massage my back every single night and it still didn't do much good.

I have just started getting back pain this pregnancy. I use a heating pad but only for short amounts of time because I don't want to overheat the baby. I hear chiropractors and massage are both pretty helpful.

It is the worst to have back pain while pregnant. I got to the point that I couldn't get comfortable at all. I agree with the heating pad and massage. I had a few pre-natal massages and they were nice.

I also had back pain when I was pregnant but it only occured when I was on my third trimester. A pillow was placed on my lower back for support while lying on my back.

Ladies who physical exercise frequently while pregnant have easier labor, deliveries, and recovery time. The majority of pregnant ladies are able to exercise at a level proper to their stage of pregnancy, but you should usually check together with your doctor to make sure you have no risks or conditions that would stop you from exercising safely.
