I have been having severe lower back pain the last few days. I know that sometimes that can mean you have a bladder infection.
Has this happened to you? What other symptoms did you have with it?

You may have burning upon urination or itching. You may also find yourself urinating frequently in small amounts. Sometimes if it is bad enough you may experience a fever along with or instead of the other symptoms.

I had a bladder infection once and it was horrible. Since I had never had one I did not know what to look for. It can get bad quickly if you aren't careful. You need to see a doctor as soon as possible to get a urinalysis done and see if you have bacteria in your urine. You certainly can have back pain but with back pain, it's usually a kidney infection instead of a bladder infection.

The faecal matter is known to contain the E-coli bacteria. Also the tube which connects bladder to the urethra is smaller in women then in men. This increases the chances of bladder infection more in women Log in or Register to read more… |

Most urinary tract infections are bladder infections. A bladder infection usually is not serious if it is treated right away. If you do not take care of a bladder infection, it can spread to your kidneys. A kidney infection is serious and can cause permanent damage.
