I am having this back pain for a week. Can this lead to scoliosis?

It COULD be scoliosis, but I doubt it. Most likely you have a subluxation, or you pulled a muscle. I would go see a chiropractor and see if that helps. Or put a warm compress on the area; that might soothe the muscles. If it is scoliosis, you should notice that your upper body is a little twisted, or you're putting more weight on one foot. A doctor or chiropractor should also be able Log in or Register to read more… |

I go to a chriopractor every two weeks and he has helped me tremendously with my back pain. I do agree though, if you do not get relief or if the back pain gets worse, contact a doctor immediately.

I don't think scoliosis is something that you get from bad posture. It's either you have it or not. It's like a deformity that you get since childhood. But I could be wront, also go see a physical therapist if the pain is unbearable.

Scoliosis involves a slight curve in your spine and may cause walking to be difficult. If you are experiencing these pains then you should make plans to visit a doctor.

The only way to find out is to see a doctor. In most cases you could just have a strain on your back from being over worked or heavy lifting.

A test can be done but sometimes you could just have a slight curve that is giving you issues. Have you ever been in a wreck? And yes most times it does happen at birth (or I should say in the womb) but not always, a doc could tell you more after testing and examining you though.
