What are the differences between different types of anemia? Is one type worse than the other? Would really appreciate some information on this.

Anemia is a condition that develops when your blood lacks enough healthy red blood cells. These cells are the main transporters of oxygen to organs. If red blood cells are also deficient in hemoglobin, then your body isn't getting enough oxygen. Symptoms of anemia like fatigue occur because organs aren't getting enough oxygen.

Microcytic anemia can be further divided into various subtypes. These subtypes include:
- Iron deficiency anemia
- Sideroblastic anemia
- Thalassemia.

Hemoglobin is responsible for carrying oxygen in the blood. It gives blood its red color. In sideroblastic anemia, blood cells are smaller and paler than normal blood cells and may be misshapen. They also contain abnormal, purple colored iron granules at their edges called Pappenheimer bodies. These indicate that there’s an iron overload in the cell. - Sickle Cell Disease; and
