I have been shopping for gluten free foods for my family and they are just outrageously expensive! For the most part we have just cut out all foods that contain gluten and stick with meat, fruits, veggies and cheeses and avoid the gluten free alternative foods like pastas. Why do they have to be so high?

Seems like all of the foods that are the healthiest for you, like organic groceries, are always the most expensive. If they are so good for you they will have to lower the prices soon so that more people can have access to them.

It might cost more because it takes a lot more work to make food without gluten in it, since most food manufacturers put gluten in food. But I think the health food craze will eventually pick up and food prices will decrease.
