Sometimes during the day and not veery day I will get little heart flutters- not really pain but it feels really weird. Should I see a doctor about this or is this something that everyone experiences from time to time?

I don't think it is anything to worry about, I used to get heart palpatations from time to time and they never amounted to anything serious. However, having said that I would suggest you talk to the doctor about it because he may want to do some tests, like you wearing a monitor for 24 to 48 hours, just to be sure there is nothing serious.

Atrial flutter (AFL) is an abnormal heart rhythm that occurs in the atria of the heart. When it first occurs, it is usually associated with a fast heart rate or tachycardia (beats over 100 per minute), and falls into the category of supra-ventricular tachycardias.

Heart palipatations are fairly common and usually not serious. Sometimes it can be caused by excessive caffeine consumption and I think also from dehydration. If it happens a lot thoguh you should discuss it with your doctor.
