I sometimes will have a racing heart and chest pain when it happens. Is this something to be concerned about? I know my mother has had this for years and never had any problem. Should I be going to the emergency when this happens?

You should go to your family doctor and explain exactly how it feels and see what they say. You may just be having palipitations. Your doctor may want to run some tests to make sure that you are okay.
