Sometimes I get a sharp pain in my upper ribs (lung area/heart area) that makes it where I cannot take a deep breath without pain. Does anyone have an idea what might cause that? It usually goes away in 10-15 minutes.

Are you having any stress related problems? When I was younger I used to get a pain that sounds very similar to what you describe. When I went to my doctor I was told it was stress related. As soon as I realized what caused it, I tried to relax and the pain went away.

How long have you had this pain for? Have you had any trauma to the rib area?

Hello,
I have begun having this symptom. It begins under the rib cage on the
left and goes to high mid abdomen. It is constant but not severe just
bothersome.
