I am tired all the time lately and I don't know why. I scheduled an appointment with my doctor and I want to be tested for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Does anyone know how they test for this? Is it a blood test?
Anyone else tired a lot and been diagnosed with this?

My general practitioner thought I might have this and there really isn't a test for it they basically just rule a whole bunch of other stuff out.

I found a site here: http://www.prohealth.com/libra…..libid=7454 that has information on how to diagnose CFS. There is a list of symptoms there that you might want to check out; it might help you to know whether or not this is what you have.

Make sure to take a close look at your lifestyle, including diet and exercise. If you're eating a lot of processed, crappy foods, you're going to feel run down and…well…crappy. Exercise will give you more energy, though it may seem very difficult at first. Try to push through it. If lifestyle changes don't make a difference after a month, I would say there is probably Log in or Register to read more… |

I think it's important to look at your diet. Anemia can make you feel run down, for instance. If changing your diet and/or getting more exercise doesn't help, your doctor will probably have to rule out other conditions before deciding it's chronic fatiuge.
