I know that treatments for CF are getting better, so people are living longer. Does this mean that people with CF can now have kids-are they able to do that? If so is it an uncommon thing?

Well, from what I know, infertility affects CF patients. More than 90% of men with CF are infertile, but they are not sterile, can produce normal sperm, and they can still have children with assisted reproductive techniques. They can have kids but cystic fibrosis is an inherited disease, so if they were to have children they would probably pass it down to Log in or Register to read more… |

Cystic fibrosis being a genetic disorder creates a great deal of difficulties, non genetic disease can be cured but genetic disease are very hard to cure but with the use of proper technology and drugs one can live the life for a longer period of time.
