I've got to have an endoscopy next week for some stomach pain I've had for some time. The doctor has explained it to me but I want to know from a patient's perspective what they thought of the test. What should I expect and what do I need to watch out for?

It's not that bad. By the time they had me back in the endoscopy room and into recovery, I knew nothing. From my perspective, I was just in and out. My wife tells me it took about 20 minutes but I was in the room and someone said "night, night" and then I was waking up.
