my brother is having tonsils and an excession of a tissue behind his nostrils which hinder normal breathing.is there any modern technique to cure it instead of surgery

No, not really. Once it reaches the point that the tonsils are so badly damaged, or that they are becoming infected so often they just have to come out. Its not that bad-I had it done when I was ten and it was a quick recovery.

One of my daughters had the same problem. She had so many infections that her tonsils became useless because they were so swollen. The doctor said at that point they can't do their job anymore which is filtering.

My daughter had her tonsils taken out when she was 3. She had constant strep throat. The doctor said the infection would not go away even with antibiotic. We are 8 years later and she hasn't had it since.

I had mine taken out when I was 3 and my daughter had hers taken out when she was 3 but over the years I have seen various stages of strategy. For a period of time the doctors will say "they must come out" then it will change to "oh no we don't take them out anymore we treat them with antibiotics".
