My husband and i both make an excessive amount of earwax and it seems that we have passed it on to our daughter. I have heard before that there are drops you can put in your ears to dissolve the wax. Does anyone know what that stuff is called?

I am not sure what drops you are refering too but I have heard that you can use small drops of hydrogen peroxide and the bubbles will help break up the wax. I have also had a doctor recommend  a few warm drops of mineral oil every day. One other option I know of you can try is ear candling. I have never done it but I know people who say it works wonderfully well and isn't painful at

I heard about ear candling, too. But I don't really know the process. What does it do to your ears, and how do you perform it?
