Is tonsilitis caused by eating too much sweets? My son is really fond of eating sweets and he gets tonsilitis quite often.

Well yeah, excessive eating of sweets, toffees, chewing gums, tartaric

I have also heard that excessive use/consumption of condiments, spices, and acrid, pungent and astringent food can cause inflammation of the tonsils. So do food with lots of artificial coloring and food preservatives.

this infection may eventually get to the heart, thus causing Rheumatic
Fever; to the lower respiratory tract, causing bronchitis; or to the
kidnets, causing Glomerulonephritis.

Most often, tonsillitis is caused by a virus. Less often, it is caused by the same bacteria that cause strep throat. In rare cases, a fungus or a parasite can cause it.
Tonsillitis is spread through the air in droplets when an infected person breathes, coughs, or sneezes. You may then become infected after breathing in these droplets or getting them on your skin or on objects that come Log in or Register to read more… |
