A hearing test is performed for evaluating the hearing sense of a person by an audiologist using various devices and methods, audiometers are commonly used for thus purpose. An Audiometer determines the hearing sensitivity of persons in various frequencies. Besides an audiometer there are other devices and methods are also used for this purpose like Weber test and Rinne

How often should you have your hearing tested? Is it that necessary if you have no history or symptoms of hearing problems? I remember having to do the test at school, even in high school, but it was never a test that my pediatrician had done with me or one that I've ever heard of any one else getting regularly at a physical.
