My wife just found out she was pregnant! We are very excited, but I'm not sure what to expect. From what I've heard, it's difficult being pregnant, so I'd like to know what I need to do to help her through this experience.

Hearty congratulations. First and foremost keep your wife healthy mentally and physically. Healthy diet and a peaceful mind are very important during this tenure. Support her emotionally. Pregnancy will bring so many physical and emotional changes in your wife. Do not neglect or ignore any of her feelings and emotions. You can consult your OBGYN and get tips on the parental care. Congratulations!  Snappy gave you some good advice.

By the way, pregnancy can be very difficult, but it can also be fairly easy for some women.  I hope it's the latter for your wife.

Thanks for the great advice snappy1! I will do my best to do what I can to help my wife, as I know this is a really important time in our lives. I hope the pregnancy isn't too hard either Pinecone, but I want to be prepared to do my part in either case.

Congratulations! I think an understanding husband is the key to a happy pregnancy. She will be tried, possibly not feel well if she has morning sickness, she will be emotional, and in the last trimester she will likely have pain in her back and feet. Help her out with cooking and cleaning and encourage her to rest as much as possible. My husband spoiled me rotten during my pregnancy and it was
