I was watching an episode of 16 & Pregnant and there was an episode with a teen girl who was pregnant and had been diagnosed with an eating disorder a few years before the pregnancy. The show showed her struggle with balancing her eating disorder and pregnancy. I found the portrayal of the eating disorder on TV very interesting.

I haven't seen this reality tv program, but it sounds like it's a show that has a social theme or relevance. It's good to have programs that depict the difficulties accompanying pregnancy, but I do hope that the show's treatment of the subject is still close to reality and doesn't exploit the girls.

There are actually a lot of reality tv programs that include eating disorders in their line up. One that comes to mind is Intervention some of their programs deal with people who have severe eating disorders.
