It is the most widely used anticonvulsant worldwide  and the oldest still commonly used.  Just depends if it works best for her than she should stay on it.  Change in medications for epileptics sometimes causes more seizures.  There is a wide range of anti-seizure medications though.

My brother was also prescribed to take phenobarbitals when he had bouts of epilepsy. He had allergic reactions to other anti-seizure drugs. His seizures became less frequent and will hopefully be gone forever.

It is a quite common seizure medication.  But there many more out there, just depends if it works for your boss than she should stay on it.  Tegretol and Depakote are other common epileptic medications.

Yes its most common medicine  for treatment of Epilepsy. There are no treatments for this problem but doctors can control it using medicines. Justin I think you mean there is no cure only treatments.  I have heard that there are surgeries that can cure seizures but they are dangerous.

For the treatment of epilepsy or nerve pain, fibromyalgia I would like to suggest best medicine is to purchase lyrica available online now. The European Union has also approved Lyrica as best medication to treat generalized anxiety disorder.Smile
