I sometimes wonder if Ovulation and back pain go together? I usually have severe back pain when ovulating. It gets so intense that I can hard walk around ovulation time!

You might have hit something there with ovulation and back pain. I get that as well. I get this sharp pain in the left side of my back, but I have never really tied it to ovulation.

Yup this happens! Ovulation and back pain is known as mitelschmerz or middle pain in German. This usually starts a forthnight before you start your period, which is essentially when you ovulate.

You should ask you doctor on how to manage these. These are usually managed by medications. And some women do get severe back pains that could last for days on end.

About 1 out of 5 women get this. Ovulation and back pain is actually very common.
