What are your opinions on homosexual parents? I am proud to say I am gay, and I would love to have a chilld of my own, whether it's me by myself or another partner. What are your opinions on gay parents and parenting?

Gay parents are as good as straight parents. I don't think being gay would make any difference. Gay couples should be given the same right in adopting.

I agree with you. As long as they could provide the childs needs, and they don't abuse the child. Then it shouldn't be a problem.

I do think that a greater deal of compassion is needed in society however. At the moment kids in this situation face bullying and all sorts of problems-its a shame. Kids can be cruel at times.

Most people are aware of their gender and comfortable with their sex at a very early age. They identify with the sex of which they were born. However, some people suffer from gender dysphoria where they feel like they were meant to be the opposite sex. They report feeling trapped in the body of the wrong gender and sometimes this sensation goes back to their earliest sense of self as a child.

I completely support the rights of gay and lesbian men and women to raise children. I have met several gay couples with children and the kids are well-adjusted and loved. Instead of worrying about whether or not these children are going to be bullied we should teach children not to be bullies. Teach compassion, tolerance, and love rather than fear and hate.
