I've recently read that Miley Cyrus suffers from tachycardia. It's a heart condition, I know but what is it???

Tachycardia is actually when you have a heart rate that is faster than the normal range for a resting heart rate.

Actually it depends. There are several cases of tachycardia and it depends on the level of activity you have.

I know that there is sinus tachycardia which involves an abnormality with the sinoatrial node that acts as the pacemaker of the heart. This reacts according to stress, caffeine, alcohol and other things.

Yup that's right. And there is also ventricular tachycardia which originates in the lower chamber of the heart. This is more dangerous as it is more associated with heart attacks.
