Actually that's the traditional. It was changed by the American Heart Association a while back.

Nope, not anymore. Normal blood pressure is now "less than" 120 and "less than" 80. This is according the the AHA.

Blood pressure range from 120 over 80 (120/80) to 140
over 90 (140/90) for good r health.. If your blood pressure is within this range then it consider as ideal blood pressure.

My doctor recently told me that blood pressure can differ in individuals and according to your situation, what you are doing and such like so it's not a good thing to take your own. It's also best to have it taken when you are calm and rested.

Normal blood pressure is 120/80. Sometimes lower depending on the person.
High blood pressure is 140/90 and higher.

Normal: Less than 120/80
Prehypertension: 120-139/80-89
Stage 1 high blood pressure: 140-159/90-99
Stage 2 high blood pressure: 160 and above/100 and above
