I stood on a fire ant hill the other night for a few minutes and the little buggers feasted on my right foot. Now it's swollen and painful and I can hardly walk. Is there anything I can do to make this swelling go down faster?

Immediately following the fire
ant sting, apply some after-bite medication. After-bite medicine is
available over-the-counter at the drug store and it will help treat the
intense itching and pain that's associated with fire ant bites.

a specific cases where ants can cause damage to people or property.
Consider the notorious fire ant.
