I have bouts of nausea frequently with no apparent reason. It doesn't have to be after a meal or any other activity. It just happens seemingly without rhyme or reason. What could be the reason for this. I don't have any other symptoms, just nausea. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have this from time to time as well and with me it seems that it might happen for a week or two and then not again for awhile. I am not sure what it is I have wondered if maybe it could be stress related.

I would get nausea for no apparent reason… I finally went to talk to my doctor; she recommended that I start to keep a little log of what Im doing around the times that I would feel this way… including diet / stress / mood…
What I came to find was a lot of it was related to anxiety and stress!!! it took a long time for me to figure out what I was so anxious about, since I really Log in or Register to read more… |

Nausea for 'no reason' at all would be rather strange. As Ksuchka mentions, a lot of the nausea that seems to come out of nowhere is mostly lifestyle related. If you keep a note of what you are doing and you can trace back the cause. It might also be due to a new environment that you are in? Let us know!

I also felt nauseous while traveling on a long journey. Sometimes it happens to me when I lack sleep, too tired, pressured and exhausted. It can also trigger when I'm out in the hot weather and when I come in a cold place.

Sometimes random nausea can be related to other gastrointestinal distress like gall bladder isues. Keeping a notebook of what you were doing and what you have eaten that day may help you figure out the cause.
