What do you think could be the best birth control method to prevent pregnancy? I know some birth control pills can get a woman pregnant. Are there any options to prevent pregnancy?

I don't think that any method is 100% safe but the pill is pretty good. You just have to remember to take it and if, like my friend, you have a bout of sickness whilst taking it, you have to use a condom as well. Another good method is to have a coil implanted but this doesn't suit everyone. Discuss it with your doctor.

The only method to prevent pregnancy 100% is abstinence. Birth control pills tend to prevent pregnancy 99% of the time if used properly meaning taking them everyday. It is also recommended you take them at the same time every day. There is not one birth control method that can prevent pregnancy 100%.

Do Catholics still only use the rhythm method of contraception? I know that the Irish Catholic family I used to live beside told me that it was a sin in their religion to use any kind of prevention other than this.
