When you have psoriasis, what does it look like? I have a red, scaly, itchy rash that occurs occasionally on my abdomen. It itches so intensely that I have to use a numbing cream to make it stop itching.

That's what it looks like. It can happen anywhere on your body. I get it on my hands and fingers and it's scaly, red rough skin that itches like crazy. My doctor gave me sample of Lac-Hydrin which can be bought over the counter in most drug stores and it worked wonders on my hands. I have psoriasis, but it doesn't really itch and it's not reddish at all if I could restrain myself from scratching it.
