Oh how right you are. Marriage is work. You have to work everyday at keeping things fresh and interesting and keep yourself interesting to your partner and being interested in your partner. Good, long lasting marriages don't just happen they are because each person is concerned about the happiness of the other partner. I totally agree with you Rowena especially the sense of humour part. It is very necessary to have a good sense of humour so that you can have laughs and fun in a marriage. Although you do need to be serious sometimes and communication has to be there too.
