I have been hearing about so many diets lately that I don't know what is what anymore. What exactly is the South Beach Diet? What would make somebody choose the South Beach Diet over another type of diet?

From what I'm aware of, the South Beach Diet is pretty much about replacing bad carbs with good carbs. Apparently it's supposed to be good for your heart. To me it kind of sounds like a fad diet, just like the others out there.

There are tons of fad diets but I am not sure if this is really anything new. Havnt others been trying to replace bad carbs for years now, and what makes this one so special? I guess I just do not get it.

South Beach diet is about the least faddy of the fad diets from what I remember. I haven't actually done it but someone once gave me a book on it. It seems relatively sensible and has been around for many years, it isn't a flash in the pan.

I really like the South Beach Diet. I reduced my cholesterol by 40 points by doing the South Beach Diet. It is eating really healthy by eliminating the complex carbs.Â
