About how curable is throat cancer? I have heard that survival rates for throat cancer are high in comparison to other types of cancer. Is this true? What are some things that can help one increase their chances of surviving throat cancer?

I think that the cure rate is pretty high compared to other forms of cancer. I have a frined whose dad smoked for years and has had to have his voice box removed but has done pretty well with staying in remission since that surgery.

Cure for throat cancer? I have heard that the same virus that causes cervical cancer in girls can cause throat cancer in men? Is that true?
Is there a vaccine for throat cancer like the one for cervical cancer? Curious…

Cancer of the throat is cancer of the vocal cords, voice box (larynx), or other areas of the throat.
Treatment is aimed at completely removing the cancer and preventing the spread of the cancer to other parts of the body.
