What really causes this arthritis? Is it lack of exercise?

I have Arthritis, osteoarthritis and osteoperosis. I also have Lupus which acts similar to arthritis. I know that arthritis happens when we get older and have had injuries from broken bones, sports and other such things. It is, from what I understand, caused by calcium build-up in the joints or fluid in the joints. I think they say that you can alleviate it through exercise but Log in or Register to read more… |

Rowena is right there are different kinds of arthritis. For example, rheumatoid arthritis and lupus too I believe are actually autoimmune disorders which is genetic so those two wouldn't be related to lack of exercise. I have heard that exercise can relieve arthritis pain.

My granddaughter has juvenile arthritis and it has been described as like her body attacking itself. It is similar to lupus, yes, in that there seems to be no reason why it has occurred and it can go into remission of it's own accord too with no warning. I hope this happens to the little one.

Hello,
I am in my late 40. I am suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. Actually there are several Non-pharmacological treatment includes physical therapy, orthoses, occupational therapy and nutritional therapy. But I am taking anti-inflammatory drugs. I am really worried about it.

There are many reason behind the arthritis and it is not nesessary that it happend only with the lack of excercise.

Arthritis does not have just a single cause but there are number of causes that can cause the arthritis some of them being malnutrition or overnutrition, genetic factors, over active lifestyle and many others.
