I've been doing a lot of research into the benefits of fish oil supplements and I'm impressed. I know they are touted more for heart benefits but the research I've found shows amazing benefits besides the heart. Studies have shown it to be helpful for ADD, for one thing. The omega-3s help the neurotransmitters function better in the brain which is theorized to be the problem with ADD. Log in or Register to read more… |

I've also heard that it can decrease inflammation. In other words it would help with arthritis and other inflammatory response diseases. I think I may try them for arthritis and see if it would help. I have arthritis of the spine and it's really painful. Maybe this would help things to settle down a bit.

That's true – I didn't even think of that. I did see the anti-inflammatory properties in my research. I have arthritis, as well, especially in my hands and knees. Looks like this will be good for me to start, in a number of ways.

I've always heard lots of things about the different mineral oils, vitamins etc but I have never set my mind to trying any of them I guess. Maybe I should check into some of them a little more.

I take fish oil supplements, I also take flaxseed oil supplements which are supposed to help with the circulation as well. I never knew that the fish oil helped with inflammation though.

I have never taken any fish oil supplement. I don't have problems with ADD, does fish oil help with allergies? This topic is in the allergy section. I have terrible allergy problems so I'd be willing to give it a try if it did.

I have been taking Fish Oil for a few years. The other day I read in the paper that you have to make sure that the capsules you are taking have EPA and DHA in them or they are just plain fish oil. I changed my brand because mine didn`t have those i it.
