I suffer from several allergies. I am dreading the upcoming Spring as a lot of people are. I was told by a friend that there are some doctors that will give their patients an injection a few weeks before the start of allergy season and that this will stop most of the horrible sneezing, itching, etc. Is this a real possibility?

My understanding is that allergies can, indeed, be treated. Besides the shots available (which are usually some sort of antihistamine), other, more natural treatments have been suggested, such as vitamin C in larger than usual doses, and local raw honey daily.

I'm looking for a long-term solution. My allergies are not seasonal and don't seem to be brought on by an obvious culprit.

I have a friend who has crazy spring allergies.  She does get shots and also uses a nasal spray.  I would just recommend speaking with your doctor to see what he/she thinks is best for you.  Any of the natural remedies are worth a shot as they are all natural and if they work, you found somehting.  If they don't work, no harm done.

For long term solution then don't wast your time to asking other about your problem. You need to see the doctor

there was a saying in our country that in order for you to fully cure your allergies, all you have to do is to expose yourself to the cause.. the allergy will go away soon..

Have you had an allergen blood test jdk?  If you know what your are allergic too than you can take the proper precautions to avoid your allergies.
